Hi everyone, my names Sam and I’m one of the directors here at Little Peaks Day Nursery! My journey in the child care sector began in 2000 when I completed my NNEB Level 3. I then moved into Nurseries which is where my passion for caring for and educating young children really began. A particular area of interest has been supporting children with SEN and EAL - I find this extremely rewarding. In order to prioritise family life, when my son started school, I made the decision to go self employed and qualified in Home Based Childcare. I enjoyed 7 wonderful years working closely with families in order to provide the very best possible care for their children. When I’m not working I enjoy filling my time with friends and family! When I’m not sat in various ice rinks watching my son play ice hockey, I can found enjoying a family camping trip in Bakewell or hosting a board games night.
Now, after a very enjoyable 23 years in child care, I want to create something new and different, where children and families always come first and top quality care and education is at the forefront. Introducing…Little Peaks Day Nursey!
Hi, I'm Kirsty, mum to 2 boys, and Qualified Early Year Teacher! In my spare time I enjoying socialising with my family and friends - I’m a really social butterfly! We love county walks, long weekends away, getting stuck into a great TV series and taking our children on new adventures!
After initially qualifying in 2004, I moved onto Uni to further my studies and gained a BA HONS in Early Childhood Studies. An amazing gap year then took me to Australia and California - amazing in equal measure. All good things must come to an end and I settled down into nursery life where I worked my way up to Nursery Manager in 2018. At 16 years old, I confidently declared ‘Mum, one day I’m going to own my own nursery’. Well after studies, holidays, 2 beautiful children, a gorgeous wedding and years of dedication and hard work…my dream has become a reality and I can’t wait.!
